Hi guys,
Forgive me for writing in English, I'm suffering from tendinitis so I am using voice recognition to write this post. Feel free to reply in the region.
I have a QAV500 that I control with a Futaba 9C modified with a spectrum module. I was just out flying when my quad suddenly dropped like a stone. From what I can tell this occurred when I used one of the switches in the upper right-hand corner of the radio to switch flight mode on the quad. This apparently caused the throttle output from the receiver to drop to 0 for a period. The radio also omitted a high-pitched tone for a few seconds when this happened.
I have been able to reproduce this in my workshop by looking at the receiver output when switching modes on the transmitter.
I've not been able to find any reference to this high-pitched tone in the manual, and there were no error messages on the display. Do you have any ideas of what this is? Should I replace my transmitter? I've experienced the same problem with two different receivers now.2
