Have you built any of these regulators? Which software is necessary for the programming?
The servo-extender looks great! Any experience?

Seems like I have to buy the book about motor controls.
And it also seems like there`ve been a great waste of FET`s during some of the tests

Don't worry, the Speedy-BL is a well tested design. You can order the PCB and firmware from Jo Aichinger. Or buy a complete kit:
